F2290-068-01: If Form 2290, 'BalanceDueAmt' has a non-zero value, then 'EFTPSPaymentInd' checkbox or 'CreditDebitCardPaymentInd' checkbox must be checked or an "IRS Payment Record" [IRSPayment] must be present in the return.

How to fix F2290-068-01

  1. Open the return and go to the Payment method step.
  2. Review the routing number, account number, and account type.
  3. Correct any field the IRS flagged.
  4. Return to this filing, review it, and submit again.
